Seems like an issue with the emulator itself. Putting everything to max and 1920x1440 didn't affect the framerate at all. Framerate seemed to run at 20 FPS or so rather than the smooth 30 in nullDC. Even when I ran at 640x480 with all graphically intensive options off, the game was pretty stuttery. It's possible to get around these by changing settings although doing so can cause other problems.Īll in all, I still much prefer this to playing on an actual Dreamcast.

At a high enough resolution, it's not a serious problem. There is some shadow artifacting, but only on certain shadows.I really like rain so this can be annoying. I hear the rain fade in every few seconds only to stop a half-second later. The ambient rain sound effect doesn't play properly.Ryo's hair is often affected by some kind of texture transparency problem. It's also pretty great to play with Japanese audio and English subtitles. The resolution is, of course, a billion times higher. The framerate is basically identical to the Dreamcast version. Anyway, I've been playing through Shenmue 1 over the last few days.
